Shipping & Installation

Body

Most machines within the UK are loaded onto curtain sided lorries and secured onto the bed of the lorry using multiple straps.  You can see a picture here of a typical example.  Our engineers will meet the lorry transport at the customers site and will oversee the offloading of the equipment, movement and siting of the machine to its final position.  Once the customers electrician has connected the machine to the factories main supply, our engineers will then level and test run the equipment before commencing operator and maintenance training.  Training is normally spread over two days but a third day can be added if the customer wants any information repeated or has further queries.  A free of charge courtesy follow-up visit is usually carried out by our service engineer within a few months of the installation and a complimentary voucher of £250.00 given towards any future machine service or top-up training.

Most machines for export are delivered to our specialist packers who provide wooden bases, slated crates or close boarded cases.  The machines are first wrapped in a foil bag hermetically sealed and packed with the correct dessicant charge to protect the machines from any moisture ingress.  Shipment is usually via a 20ft or 40ft dedicated container and a customs clearance broker will arrange forward delivery of the container to the customers factory once the ship has arrived in  port.  We have comprehensive marine cargo insurance covering the movement of machinery from the point of being loaded to the machine being unloaded and taken into the customers factory.  At that stage the customers factory insurance will take over.

Occasionally we are met with some challenging sites that include first or second floor installations as well as in the basement!  The machine can be designed and built in much smaller sections to facilitate easier and better handling when presented with an awkward installation.
